전국서 교수님의 3학년 미국소설 수업을 듣는 한 학생이 교수님께 질문한 내용과 교수님이 답변하신 내용을 알려드립니다. 다른 학생들도 공부할 때 참고하기 바랍니다. On the contrary, seeing them more fully in the context of the wide range of narratives produced in the decades before the Civil War offers a fresh view of their achievements and at the same time re-establishes the value of the other writers, many of them women, with whom they shared the artistic stage, especially in the 1850s. 오히려 남북전쟁전에 수십년동안 생산되었던(쓰여진) 넓은 범위의 이야기들의 문맥에서 좀더 충분히 그들(Hawthorne,Melville과 Poe)을 보는 것은 그들의 성취에 대한 신선한 시각을 제공해 줄 뿐 아니라 동시에 특히 1850년대에 그들과 예술적 무대를 공유했던 많은 다른 작가들-그들 중의 많은 사람들은 여성인데-의 가치를 재확립시킨다.
